About Warrawagine Airport

Warrawagine Airport (WRW) is a small, remote airstrip in the East Pilbara region of Western Australia, located about 110 kilometres east of Marble Bar. It primarily serves Warrawagine Station, a large pastoral lease and cattle station that sits between Marble Bar and Broome and borders the Great Sandy Desert.

The airstrip has unsealed runways and no scheduled commercial passenger services. Most movements are private, charter or station-related flights that connect the property with regional centres such as Port Hedland and Broome, and support pastoral, mining and other remote-area activities across the eastern Pilbara.

Road access to the area is limited and largely unsealed, so aviation is an important practical link for station staff, contractors and visitors. Travellers continuing by road to Marble Bar, Nullagine or other Pilbara towns should allow for rough conditions and arrange transport well in advance.

Warrawagine Airport is not a conventional passenger terminal and offers minimal public facilities. Passengers should coordinate arrivals, departures, fuel and ground transport directly with Warrawagine Station or their flight operator before travelling.
