About Wagga Wagga Airport
Wagga Wagga Airport is the main regional airport serving Wagga Wagga and the surrounding Riverina area of New South Wales. It provides scheduled domestic connections to Sydney and Melbourne through QantasLink and Regional Express, supporting both business travel and tourism in the region.
The airport was established in 1940 as RAAF Base Forest Hill and later opened to civil aviation, and it continues to operate alongside RAAF Base Wagga. The terminal and runway have been upgraded over the years to serve modern regional aircraft and improve the passenger experience.
Located about 11 km east of the Wagga Wagga city centre on Don Kendell Drive, Forest Hill, the airport is reached mainly by taxi, rideshare, private transfer, chauffeur service and rental car. Short-term and long-term parking is available near the terminal.
The compact single-terminal layout keeps check-in, security and the departure lounge within easy walking distance. Passengers can use the Hangar Cafe, the Rex Lounge, free Wi-Fi, charging points, car rental counters and accessibility facilities while travelling through the airport.
