Aeródromo Gonçalves Lobato is a small regional airport serving the city of Viseu and the surrounding Dão-Lafões area in central Portugal. It is located in the parish of Lordosa, about 7 km from the centre of Viseu.
The aerodrome opened in 1966 and today has an asphalt runway of 1,200 metres. After modernisation and safety work, it received certification from Portugal's National Civil Aviation Authority in 2014 to handle commercial flights and aeronautical operations.
Since December 2015 the airport has hosted a scheduled regional air service linking Bragança, Vila Real, Viseu, Cascais and Portimão. This connection makes it a useful access point for travel between northern, central and southern Portugal.
The airport is reached by road, and passengers continue to Viseu by taxi, private transfer, rental car or other road transport. As a compact regional facility, it offers straightforward arrivals and departures for travellers visiting Viseu, the Serra da Estrela mountains and the wider central Portugal region.
