About Vancouver Harbour Water Aerodrome
Vancouver Harbour Water Aerodrome is a seaplane base located on the waterfront of Coal Harbour in downtown Vancouver. Opened in 2011 as the Vancouver Harbour Flight Centre, it serves as the main downtown hub for floatplane connections to Vancouver Island, Victoria, Whistler and other coastal communities.
The aerodrome is Canada's busiest water aerodrome and operates from a single seaplane terminal with three floating docks and 22 slips. Harbour Air and other regional seaplane operators use the facility for scheduled services, scenic flights and charter operations.
Because it sits in the heart of downtown Vancouver, the aerodrome is within walking distance of Canada Place, the Vancouver Convention Centre and Waterfront Station, making onward travel by transit, taxi or private transfer straightforward.
The terminal provides a passenger lounge with harbour views, a café, a gift shop and accessibility features, giving travellers a compact and convenient departure point in the city centre.
