The airfield has a single grassed brown clay runway, designated 04/22 and approximately 600 metres long, and operates without separate passenger terminals. The airport is located a short distance from Tonu village and provides road access toward nearby centres such as Buin, roughly 30 km away, and Arawa, about 50 km away. Buka, the regional capital, is considerably farther to the north. Because services and infrastructure are limited, travelers should confirm flight, transfer and road arrangements in advance.
