Thandwe Airport is a small domestic airport in Rakhine State, western Myanmar, and the main air gateway to Ngapali Beach. The airport serves the town of Thandwe, formerly known as Sandoway, and is the usual arrival point for travellers heading to the resorts along the Bay of Bengal coast.
The airfield has operated as a civil facility since the mid-20th century and has been upgraded over time, including runway extensions completed in 2010 and 2011 to accommodate larger regional aircraft. Scheduled services currently focus on domestic routes linking Thandwe with destinations such as Yangon, Sittwe, Mandalay and Kyaukphyu.
A single compact terminal handles check-in, departures and arrivals, with basic facilities for passengers. The airport lies roughly 7–9 km from Thandwe town centre and within a short drive of Ngapali Beach and its resorts, so onward travel is straightforward.
