About Sasereme Airport
Sasereme Airport is a small remote airstrip serving Sasereme village in the Western Province of Papua New Guinea, near the Fly River system and the Indonesian border.
The airport is used mainly by Mission Aviation Fellowship and charter operators for medical evacuations, supply deliveries and community access, because no roads connect the village to the rest of the province.
The facility has a single grass and gravel runway about 900 m long and no formal terminal building. Flights generally operate in the morning before afternoon tropical storms make conditions difficult.
Onward travel is by connecting charter flights to towns such as Balimo, Daru or Port Moresby, or by river boat and walking tracks, reflecting the area's isolation.

Terminal Overview

Terminals
Sasereme Airport has no formal passenger terminal. Operations are handled directly at a single grass and gravel airstrip, with aircraft met on the strip rather than at terminal gates.
