Sandstone Airport is a small regional aerodrome serving the town of Sandstone in the east Murchison District of Western Australia. Located almost adjacent to the town, it supports general aviation, charter flights, mining-related travel and Royal Flying Doctor Service operations for this remote outback community.
Sandstone grew rapidly as a goldrush town in the early 1900s, and today the airport mainly connects a small resident population and surrounding pastoral and mining activity with larger centres. The aerodrome has two gravel runways and aircraft parking, but no passenger terminal.
The airport is about 157 km east of Mount Magnet and around 660 km from Perth, with road access via the Sandstone–Mount Magnet road. Because the airfield sits close to the town, reaching local accommodation and services takes only a few minutes.
