Robinhood Airport (ROH)

Robinhood Airport is a small remote airfield in the Etheridge Shire of northern Queensland, serving the isolated pastoral community near Forsayth and the Robinhood Station property. It functions mainly as an aviation link for cattle station operations, charter flights and essential supply and emergency services.

The airfield sits at an elevation of about 1,509 feet and has basic dirt runways, with no conventional passenger terminal, fuel or ground support facilities. Operations are generally conducted under visual flight rules, and pilots coordinate via the local CTAF frequency.

Located about 63 km south of Georgetown and roughly 307 km from Cairns, the airport is reached mainly by unsealed outback roads. Conditions can change with seasonal weather, and the strip may be unusable for periods during the wet season.

For travellers, access requires advance planning and self-sufficiency, including water, food and transport arrangements. Despite its limited facilities, the airfield remains an important connection point for the region's pastoral and emergency needs.
