About Port Macquarie Airport
Port Macquarie Airport is the main regional airport serving Port Macquarie and the surrounding Mid North Coast of New South Wales. It connects the area with Sydney and Brisbane through scheduled QantasLink and Rex services, as well as Lord Howe Island with Eastern Air Services, and supports general aviation, training and charter operations.
The airport is owned and managed by Port Macquarie-Hastings Council. A major terminal upgrade completed in December 2019 doubled the size of the previous terminal building and added an expanded departure lounge, a new café, passenger screening, accessible amenities and dedicated car rental areas.
Located about 5 km west of the Port Macquarie city centre off Hastings River Drive and Boundary Street, the airport is a short drive from the town centre. Taxis, shuttle buses, a public bus service and rental cars provide onward connections to hotels, beaches and other destinations in the region.
With a compact single terminal, café and bar, car rental desks and nearby parking, the airport offers a convenient gateway for visitors arriving on the New South Wales North Coast.
