Porepunkah Airfield is a small general aviation airfield in Victoria's High Country, located in the Buckland Valley about 4 km south of Porepunkah and roughly 8 km from Bright. It mainly serves private, recreational and emergency aircraft and supports gliding, ultralight and light aircraft activity near Mount Buffalo National Park.
The site began as a local farmer's paddock and was formally commissioned as Buckland Airfield in 1978, later becoming the present-day Porepunkah Airfield managed for Alpine Shire. It has a single grass runway, user hangars, public toilets, car parking and visiting aircraft parking, but no commercial passenger terminal.
The airfield is reached by road from Buckland Valley Road and the Great Alpine Road, with taxis, private transfers and rental cars available through nearby Bright and Porepunkah. Its location makes it a convenient entry point for private pilots visiting Mount Buffalo National Park, Bright and the alpine towns of north-east Victoria.
