Peppimenarti Airport (PEP)

Peppimenarti Airport is a remote community airfield serving the Aboriginal community of Peppimenarti in the West Daly Region of the Northern Territory. It lies in the Daly River area, roughly 320 km southwest of Darwin, and provides an important air link for residents, government services, charter operators, and medical or supply flights.

The airfield has a single sealed runway and no formal commercial passenger terminal, with a basic apron and a small waiting shelter. Scheduled commercial service is limited; Chartair operates weekly flights between Darwin and Peppimenarti, and charter aircraft support community access and essential services.

Road access can be difficult, particularly during the wet season from November to April when unsealed roads may become impassable, making the airfield a key lifeline. The community is about 120 km west of the Daly River crossing along the Port Keats Road.

Peppimenarti is located on Aboriginal Land Trust land, and non-residents generally need a permit from the Northern Land Council; the community is also a dry community with alcohol restrictions. Visitors should arrange pickups, supplies, and onward travel before arriving because airport facilities are minimal.
