Parry Sound/Frying Pan Island-Sans Souci Seaplane Base (YSI) is a seasonal water aerodrome located in the Sans Souci and Frying Pan Island area of Ontario's Georgian Bay, within the 30,000 Islands region. It serves island communities, cottage properties, resorts and marinas that have limited or no road access.
Situated about 21 km (13 mi) southwest of Parry Sound, the aerodrome functions as a water landing area rather than a conventional airport, with docks and mooring used by private and charter floatplanes. Most travelers reach their final destination by boat or water taxi after landing.
The base is generally operational during the open-water season, from around May to mid-October depending on ice and weather conditions. Services are limited to dockage, mooring and fuel, and there are no commercial terminal, check-in or security facilities.
For onward travel, boat connections link the base to Frying Pan Island, Sans Souci and nearby Georgian Bay destinations, while Parry Sound provides road, marina and service links to the rest of Ontario.
