Parndana Airport (PDN)

Parndana Airport is a small general aviation airfield on Kangaroo Island in South Australia. Located near the township of Parndana, it serves central Kangaroo Island and is used mainly for private, charter and other light aircraft operations rather than scheduled airline services. The airfield has a single grass runway, designated 16/34, measuring approximately 1,251 metres, and operates under the IATA code PDN and ICAO code YPDA. Parndana is roughly 40 kilometres southwest of Kingscote, the island's main town, and about 155 kilometres southwest of Adelaide. Visitors generally continue by road, with the Playford Highway linking the airport area to Kingscote and other island destinations. Because it has no regular passenger terminal facilities, most travellers flying to Kangaroo Island use Kingscote Airport, while Parndana Airport remains a practical base for general aviation and access to the island's central farming and tourism areas.
