Oenpelli Airport is a small regional aerodrome serving Gunbalanya, the Aboriginal community formerly known as Oenpelli, in the West Arnhem region of the Northern Territory, Australia. It provides an important air link for a remote community with limited all-season road access.
The airport has a single sealed asphalt runway, 12/30, about 1,320 metres long, and is operated by Gunbalanya Council Incorporated as a certified aerodrome. The airstrip is located roughly 6 km from the community centre.
Charter services connect Oenpelli with Darwin, about 300 km away, with flights typically taking around 45 minutes, as well as with nearby Jabiru, roughly a 20-minute flight. Road access to Darwin is possible in the dry season, although it is weather dependent during the wet.
Passenger facilities are minimal, with no shops, cafés, lounges or public Wi-Fi, so travellers should plan ahead and arrange onward transport before arriving.
