Niort - Marais Poitevin Airport (NIT)

Niort - Marais Poitevin Airport is a civil aerodrome serving Niort and the Deux-Sèvres department in Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France. Formerly known as Niort-Souché, it has been managed by the City of Niort since 2007 and focuses on business aviation, general aviation, medical flights and other non-scheduled operations. Regular commercial services are handled by the nearby airports of Poitiers and La Rochelle.

Located about 4 km east-south-east of central Niort, the airport is easy to reach by road and sits close to exit 32 of the A10 motorway. Its infrastructure includes a 1,783 m paved runway, additional grass strips for lighter aircraft, a single small terminal building, a fuel station, aircraft parking and hangars.

Road access makes the airport convenient for continuing into Niort by car or taxi in around 10 to 15 minutes. La Rochelle is approximately 60 km away, Poitiers about 80 km, and the Marais Poitevin Regional Natural Park is within easy reach for onward travel.

Despite its modest size, the airport supports local economic activity and serves as a practical arrival point for business travelers, private flights and specialist air services in western France.
