New Bight Airport is the main air gateway for Cat Island and the New Bight area, connecting this quiet Family Island to Nassau and, increasingly, to international points. It serves leisure travelers, residents, and general aviation traffic visiting the southern part of Cat Island.
Located about 3 km northwest of New Bight settlement and roughly 42 km southeast of Arthur's Town, the airport operates from a compact single-terminal facility with a paved runway. The site is a designated Port of Entry with Customs and Immigration services.
A multi-million-dollar redevelopment of the airport, branded as New Bight International Airport, is underway to upgrade the terminal and support growing airlift. The project is designed to house immigration, customs, and a police station alongside airline operations.
