About Naracoorte Airport
Naracoorte Airport is a small public regional aerodrome serving Naracoorte and the Limestone Coast region of South Australia. Operated by Naracoorte Lucindale Council, it is located about 4 km south of the Naracoorte town centre and provides a base for general aviation, flying training and emergency services.
The aerodrome has two runways: a sealed runway aligned 08/26 and a longer rubble runway aligned 02/20. It is used regularly by the Royal Flying Doctor Service, which operates almost daily flights, as well as by the Country Fire Service, aerial agricultural operators, private pilots and charter aircraft. Scheduled regional passenger services through Naracoorte ceased in 1985.
Access is via Doolans Road, with parking available near the aero club facilities. From the airport, travellers can reach the town centre within a short drive, and continue to nearby regional attractions including the Naracoorte Caves and the Coonawarra wine region.
Although the airport has modest passenger infrastructure, it remains an important regional aviation facility supporting medical flights, emergency response and private flying across the Limestone Coast.
