Mulga Park Airport (MUP, ICAO: YMUP) is a small civil airfield in the far south of the Northern Territory, close to the South Australian border. It serves Mulga Park Station and surrounding remote properties rather than a town, acting as a landing point for private, charter and station aircraft in the Red Centre.
The airfield has a single unsealed runway, 09/27, of about 1,000 metres, at an elevation of roughly 610 metres. It has no conventional passenger terminal; basic shelter or hangar facilities are used for arrivals and departures.
The airport lies about 320 kilometres southwest of Alice Springs and roughly 95 kilometres from Yulara, the service town for Uluru-Kata Tjuta National Park. Access is by outback roads and unsealed tracks, and onward travel is normally arranged in advance by 4WD or other private road transport because there is no scheduled public transport at the airstrip.
The Northern Territory uses Australian Central Standard Time (UTC+9:30). With no commercial passenger services, the airfield works best as a practical gateway for station access and remote-area travel rather than a conventional airport hub.
