About Mount Aue Airport
Mount Aue Airport is a small domestic airstrip serving the Aue area in the highlands of Papua New Guinea's Jiwaka Province. It provides a vital air link for remote communities, with flights connecting through regional centres such as Mount Hagen and Port Moresby.
Set in rugged highland terrain at roughly 1,295 m (4,250 ft) above sea level, the airstrip has a single grass runway of about 580 m and handles small aircraft, charter operations, medical evacuations and supply flights.
The airstrip is about 64 km from Mount Hagen, and ground access depends on four-wheel-drive vehicles over highland roads, so journey times vary widely with weather and road conditions.
Passenger facilities are minimal, and there is no conventional terminal. Travellers should confirm flights and ground transport in advance and be prepared for a remote arrival experience.

Terminal Overview

Terminals
