Moruya Airport is a regional airport serving the Eurobodalla and New South Wales South Coast. It is owned and operated by Eurobodalla Shire Council and provides a vital air link for the Moruya and Batemans Bay area, with Rex Airlines operating regular passenger flights to Sydney and Merimbula.
The airport was first licensed in 1939 and later played a role in World War II coastal surveillance. Major upgrades during the 1960s added radio navigation aids, runway lighting and facilities for larger aircraft, and in 2005 the aerodrome was upgraded from a licensed to a certified airport.
Located about 6 km northeast of Moruya town centre, the airport sits near the mouth of the Moruya River and features a single small passenger terminal with check-in, security and baggage claim facilities. Free parking, a café and car rental services are available directly at the terminal.
The airport also supports general aviation, tourism and emergency services. With a sealed runway, compact terminal and straightforward road access to the town centre and surrounding coastal communities, it offers a convenient entry point for travellers visiting the region.
