Mooraberree Airport (OOR)

Mooraberree Airport is a private airstrip serving Mooraberrie Station, a working cattle property in the Channel Country of far south-western Queensland. It lies roughly 170 kilometres from Windorah and about 180 kilometres from Birdsville, providing air access to one of Australia's most remote pastoral regions.

The airstrip sits at an elevation of about 82 metres and operates unsealed runways for private and station aviation. It does not offer scheduled commercial passenger services, and aircraft movements are generally arranged with the station operator.

Reaching the airstrip by road involves travelling remote outback routes, and four-wheel drive vehicles are recommended. Windorah and Birdsville are the nearest service towns, so travellers should plan fuel, supplies and accommodation carefully.

Although facilities at the airstrip are limited, it functions as a practical gateway for station visitors, workers and outback travellers moving across the surrounding Channel Country.
