Montluçon–Guéret Airport is a small regional airfield serving Montluçon, Guéret and the surrounding Creuse and Allier areas of central France. Opened in 1982, it was developed to support the local area and has long functioned as a base for general aviation, private aircraft, training flights and occasional charter operations.
The airport is located in the commune of Lépaud in the Creuse department, roughly 23 km southwest of Montluçon and about 45 km east of Guéret, close to the RN145 road corridor. Its main asphalt runway is 1,900 metres long, with a parallel grass runway used mainly for gliding and light aircraft.
Rather than a large terminal complex, the site has a compact passenger reception building, a control tower, parking areas and facilities used by local flying clubs. The airport no longer handles regular scheduled airline services and is used mainly for private, leisure, training and military flights.
For onward travel, the airport is reached by road, with private transfers, taxis and rental cars providing the main connections to Montluçon, Guéret and other towns in the region.
