Mayne Island Seaplane Base is a small water aerodrome located at Miners Bay on Mayne Island, one of the southern Gulf Islands in British Columbia, Canada. It served as the island's air gateway for floatplane traffic and is also known by its IATA code YAV and former Transport Canada location identifier CAW7.
The dock at Miners Bay has long functioned as a local harbour facility, and a dedicated aerodrome portion was added around 2000. The base was used primarily for scheduled seaplane services linking Mayne Island with Vancouver and other Gulf Island communities, as well as for charter flights.
Situated beside the Miners Bay commercial centre, the seaplane base offered a convenient arrival point just a short distance from shops, cafés and ferry connections. Floatplane operators provided links from Vancouver International Airport's south terminal area and downtown Vancouver.
The aerodrome is now considered defunct and is no longer listed by Transport Canada, although Miners Bay remains a well-known landing point for floatplanes serving the Gulf Islands.
