Mallacoota Airport is a small certified regional airport serving Mallacoota on the far eastern coast of Victoria, Australia. It sits about 7 km southwest of the township off Betka Road and supports the town, the surrounding East Gippsland region and visitors to Croajingolong National Park.
The airfield began as an RAAF advanced operations base during the Second World War and later became a civilian airport operated by East Gippsland Shire Council. A $1 million upgrade completed in 2011 expanded the terminal and improved facilities, helping secure its role as a local air transport hub for the south-eastern district.
Today the airport mainly handles charter flights, recreational aviation, aerial surveying, Angel Flight services and emergency operations including air ambulance and aerial firefighting. It has two runways, a small passenger terminal, a sealed apron and 24-hour self-service Avgas and Jet A1 fuel, with no landing or parking fees.
Road access is via Betka Road, connecting the airport to Mallacoota township and the broader Gippsland road network. As there are no scheduled airline services, onward travel is typically arranged by private transfer, rental car or pre-booked local transport.
