Lock Airport (LOC)

Lock Airport is a small regional aerodrome serving the town of Lock and the surrounding farming district in the centre of South Australia's Eyre Peninsula. It mainly supports general aviation, agricultural flying, private and charter aircraft, and aerial services rather than scheduled commercial passenger flights.

The airfield lies a few kilometres west of the Lock town centre and is reached by local road. Lock is a wheatbelt town and grain-handling centre, with connections via the Eyre and Tod Highways to Port Lincoln, about 146 km to the south, and Port Augusta, about 300 km to the northeast.

Adelaide is approximately 600 km to the east, so most travellers continue by road or connect through larger regional airports at Port Lincoln or Ceduna. The aerodrome's basic runway and apron facilities suit light aircraft and small charter operations.

For visitors, the airport offers a simple entry point to the central Eyre Peninsula, with accommodation, fuel and town services available in Lock and onward road access to coastal and agricultural destinations across the region.
