About Lismore Airport
Lismore Airport is a regional airport serving Lismore and the Northern Rivers region of New South Wales, Australia. Located about 3.7 kilometres south of the city centre, it is operated by Lismore City Council and provides a convenient gateway to the surrounding area.
The airport has a single asphalt runway and a modern terminal building with passenger facilities and secure parking. For many years, Rex Airlines connected Lismore with Sydney; scheduled passenger services were discontinued in June 2022, and the airport now mainly supports general aviation and emergency services.
The terminal provides refreshments, light meals, coffee, free Wi-Fi and a meeting room, along with free daytime parking and secure paid overnight parking. Taxis, limousines, hire vehicles and car rental are available for the short drive into central Lismore.
With its location on the edge of the city and easy road access via the Bruxner Highway, Lismore Airport offers a practical regional gateway for travellers continuing to nearby towns and coastal destinations.
