Leonard M. Thompson International Airport is the main airport serving Marsh Harbour and the Abaco Islands in the northern Bahamas. Formerly known as Marsh Harbour International Airport, it connects Great Abaco with Nassau, other Bahamian islands, and several destinations in the United States.
A new terminal opened in May 2014 after several years of construction, providing a single passenger building with airline check-in positions, baggage handling, dining, shopping, and a lounge. The airport handles both scheduled domestic services and international flights to Florida and other U.S. cities.
Located a few miles southwest of Marsh Harbour on Great Abaco Island, the airport is a short taxi or rental car ride from the town centre and nearby marinas.
