Located in the Mount Hope neighbourhood, the airport is roughly 11 km southwest of downtown Hamilton. It operates from a single passenger terminal that was substantially refreshed, with enhancements completed in 2025 including the airport's first passenger jet bridges and a modernized international arrivals area.
The airport is easily reached by road via Highway 403 and Highway 6, while the Hamilton Street Railway's route 20 A-Line Express bus connects the terminal to Hamilton GO Centre and West Harbour GO Station. Taxis, private transfers and car rentals provide additional onward travel options.
