Horta Airport is the main airport serving Faial Island and the city of Horta in the Azores. Opened in 1971 and later modernised, it provides essential air links for residents and visitors travelling within the archipelago and to mainland Portugal.
The airport is located in the parish of Castelo Branco, about 9.5 km southwest of Horta city centre. It operates a single runway and one compact terminal building, with regular inter-island flights operated by SATA Air Açores and direct services to Lisbon operated in connection with TAP Air Portugal.
