About Goulburn Airport
Goulburn Airport is a general aviation airport located approximately 7 km south of Goulburn, New South Wales. It serves the Goulburn region and the wider Southern Tablelands, providing facilities for private aircraft, flight training, skydiving and occasional firefighting support rather than scheduled airline services.
The airport has two runways: the sealed 04/22 runway and a shorter grass runway 08/26. It operates as a non-towered aerodrome, with pilots coordinating movements on the Common Traffic Advisory Frequency, and offers aircraft fuelling, pilot-activated runway lighting and an automated weather service.
Operated by John Ferrara Pty Ltd after being sold by Goulburn Mulwaree Council in 2011, the airport has a small terminal building, hangars, a restaurant and motel accommodation. It has also been considered as a possible freight hub for nearby Canberra as the capital region continues to grow.
Travelers arriving by private or charter aircraft can continue to Goulburn town, Canberra or other Southern Tablelands destinations by private transfer, chauffeur, rental car or group transport.
