Located about 3.7 km north of the town centre on the Cunningham Highway, the airport has a sealed runway, a secondary grass runway and a compact passenger terminal with basic facilities. During the 2011 Queensland floods it hosted a temporary field hospital when the town hospital was inundated, and in 2025 a major apron and taxiway expansion was completed to meet growing private aviation demand.
