Eliwana Airport is a fly-in fly-out airport serving Fortescue Metals Group's Eliwana iron ore mine in the Pilbara region of Western Australia. The aerodrome was certified in 2020 as part of the Eliwana project, which began iron ore production later that year.
Located about 90 km west-northwest of Tom Price, the airport provides a key link between the remote mine site and Perth, supporting workforce travel for the operation. It has a single 2,500-metre asphalt runway and a compact passenger terminal designed for FIFO and charter traffic.
The airport is operated by Fortescue and is powered by off-grid solar energy, with the terminal, car parks and airfield lighting running independently of the main grid. Access is generally arranged through the mine operator, and road connections link the site to nearby accommodation camps and the wider Pilbara.
As a private operational aerodrome, most flights are scheduled charters between Perth and the mine. Travelers should confirm access and transfer arrangements before departure.
