Echuca Airport (ECH)

Echuca Airport is a regional aerodrome serving Echuca, Moama and the wider Murray River district in northern Victoria. Opened around 1935, it sits approximately 3 km south of the Echuca town centre, close to the Echuca–Kyabram Road and the railway line.

It operates mainly as a general aviation facility used by the Echuca Aero Club, recreational and vintage aircraft, private and charter operators, and aeromedical services. The airport has two runways: a sealed runway (17/35) and a grass runway (05/23), with recent upgrades lengthening and widening the sealed runway and adding a new helipad to support emergency medical aircraft.

The airport is about 180 km north of Melbourne and sits near the Victoria–New South Wales border, making it a convenient access point for the twin towns of Echuca and Moama and the surrounding Campaspe region. It is best reached by car, taxi or private transfer, with travel into central Echuca typically taking only a few minutes.

Facilities are compact and centred on a small public terminal building with toilets, telephone and parking. While it does not handle scheduled airline flights, it supports private, charter, training and aeromedical aviation for travellers and the local community.
