Duncan Town Airport (DCT)

Duncan Town Airport is the only airport serving Ragged Island, a small and remote island in the southern Bahamas. It provides the main air link for Duncan Town, the island's principal settlement, and is used primarily for private flights, charters and limited domestic air connections.

The airport sits about 2 km south of Duncan Town and has a single asphalt runway designated 13/31, measuring approximately 1,158 m by 23 m. A small replacement terminal opened in December 2021 with a ticket counter, restrooms, an office, a kitchen and storage space.

Because the facility is not a port of entry and has no aviation fuel, arriving aircraft typically clear customs elsewhere before continuing. Operations are generally visual flight rules, and the airport is unattended, which reflects its role as a basic remote-island aerodrome.

Ground connections into Duncan Town are short and simple, with private transfers, taxis and local vehicles providing the onward link after arrival. While facilities are limited, the airport remains an important connection point for residents and visitors traveling to and from Ragged Island.
