About Dryden Regional Airport
Dryden Regional Airport is a small regional airport serving the city of Dryden and the surrounding Northwestern Ontario region. It supports general aviation, charter flights, medical air transport, and has historically provided scheduled passenger connections within the region. Scheduled passenger service was suspended in May 2024 when Bearskin Airlines withdrew from the community.
Located about 10 km northeast of downtown Dryden and just off the Trans-Canada Highway, the airport occupies roughly 238 hectares and has one paved 5,993-foot runway designated 12/30. Its single terminal building provides approximately 1,100 square metres of passenger space.
Travelers can reach the city by taxi, car rental, or pre-booked private transfer, with a typical drive of around 10 to 15 minutes. The terminal offers a passenger waiting area, accessible washrooms, and fixed-base operator services for private and charter aviation.
Although scheduled flights are currently suspended, the airport remains an important aviation hub for the region, supporting charter, business, and medical traffic while local authorities work to restore scheduled service.
