About Dease Lake Airport

Dease Lake Airport is a small regional airport serving the community of Dease Lake and the far northwest of British Columbia. It sits roughly 2.8 km south of the town and provides a practical air link for workers, residents and visitors travelling across the remote Stikine region.

The airport plays an important role in the Golden Triangle mining and mineral exploration area, supporting resource-sector, commercial and private aviation traffic as well as worker and cargo transportation. Its single asphalt runway is about 6,000 feet long, and recent repaving allows it to continue serving propeller and jet aircraft along with helicopter operations.

Charter services connect Dease Lake with regional centres such as Prince George, Smithers and Terrace, while the airport also supports medevac and worker flights. The compact terminal building serves as a base for flight operations and passenger waiting, with refuelling, aircraft parking and vehicle parking available.

Road access is provided by Highway 37, the Stewart-Cassiar Highway, and the short drive into Dease Lake makes it easy to continue by car, taxi or arranged transfer to nearby accommodations and workplaces.
