Costa Esmeralda Airport is a small international airport serving Tola and the Pacific coastline of Nicaragua's Rivas Department. Opened in October 2015, it provides a gateway to the Emerald Coast resort area and nearby beach towns such as San Juan del Sur.
The airport operates a single compact terminal and supports regional commercial flights, private aviation and charter operations. On-site customs and immigration services allow international travellers to clear formalities directly at the airport.
Located about 10 km west of Tola and roughly 21 km from Rivas, the airport connects travellers to coastal resorts, surf areas and other destinations in southwestern Nicaragua by private transfer, rental car or pre-arranged transport.
