About Cornwall Regional Airport
Cornwall Regional Airport is a small general aviation airport serving the city of Cornwall and the surrounding eastern Ontario region, close to the St. Lawrence River and opposite Massena, New York. It does not operate scheduled commercial airline service; instead, it supports private, charter and business aviation, flight training, aerial services and emergency air operations.
The airport is located in Summerstown, approximately 13 km east-northeast of downtown Cornwall. Its position along the St. Lawrence corridor places it roughly 100 km from Ottawa and about 110 km from Montreal, making it a convenient and quieter alternative for private and charter travellers accessing eastern Ontario.
The airfield features a single paved and lighted runway, designated 10/28 and measuring about 3,510 by 100 feet. A modest general aviation terminal building, an on-site fixed-base operator, aviation fuel, aircraft maintenance, hangars and aircraft parking support the airport's general aviation activity. Canada Customs is available for international arrivals on eligible aircraft carrying up to 15 passengers.
For onward travel, the airport is about a 10 to 15 minute drive from Cornwall city centre. Car rental is the most practical ground transportation option, while Ottawa and Montreal can be reached by road in roughly one hour or slightly more depending on traffic.
