The airport is located about 6 nautical miles (11 km) southeast of Chatham-Kent. It has a single asphalt runway, designated 06/24, measuring approximately 5,502 feet (1,677 m), and supports both VFR and IFR operations. The facility is designated an airport of entry, allowing customs clearance for eligible international flights.
Ground access from Chatham-Kent is straightforward by road, with travel to the city typically taking around 10 to 15 minutes. Taxis, car rental, private transfers and chauffeur services are the main options for continuing a journey, since the airport does not have scheduled public transit links.
