Canadian Forces Base Trenton is a Royal Canadian Air Force base and Canada's primary military air mobility hub, located in Quinte West, Ontario, about 175 km east of Toronto. Home to 8 Wing, the base supports strategic and tactical airlift, search and rescue coordination, and government transport operations for destinations across Canada and abroad.
The airfield opened in 1931 as RCAF Station Trenton and was renamed Canadian Forces Base Trenton in 1968. Its transport fleet has included CC-130 Hercules, CC-150 Polaris and CC-177 Globemaster III aircraft, and the base's passenger terminal is operated by 2 Air Movements Squadron.
The facility has a single paved runway of about 3,048 metres. It is a restricted military installation with no scheduled commercial passenger service, so access is generally limited to military personnel, authorized travellers and approved flights.
