Bamfield Water Aerodrome is a public seaplane base serving Bamfield, a small coastal community on the west coast of Vancouver Island in British Columbia. Operated by the Bamfield Kingfisher Marina, it provides a direct air link to a remote stretch of the Pacific coast and Barkley Sound.
Unlike a conventional airport, the aerodrome is based around a floatplane dock in Bamfield Inlet rather than a passenger terminal. It primarily supports floatplane services between Bamfield and larger centres such as Vancouver and Victoria, as well as regional and charter flying.
The aerodrome sits adjacent to Bamfield, so arriving passengers can reach the village centre, lodges and marine facilities quickly. Overland, Bamfield is connected to Port Alberni by the Bamfield Main gravel road, roughly 90 km away, and the area is also served by water access.
