About Arthur's Town Airport
Arthur's Town Airport is a small regional airport serving Arthur's Town and the northern part of Cat Island in The Bahamas. It provides the settlement and surrounding communities with scheduled and charter air links, primarily connecting Cat Island with Nassau and other islands of the archipelago.
The airport is located immediately beside the settlement of Arthur's Town, making it an easy starting point for travel across the island's north, including Orange Creek and nearby beaches. Cat Island lies roughly 130 miles east of Nassau, and the airport is one of two serving the island, together with New Bight Airport in the south.
A major renovation completed in 2026 expanded the passenger terminal from just over 1,200 square feet to more than 6,000 square feet. The upgraded facility includes ticket counters, offices, a security screening station, a departure lounge with seating for about 52 passengers, a concession stand, an ATM and restrooms, along with parking for around 50 vehicles. A separate customs and immigration area supports international arrivals.
With a single asphalt runway and a compact, modernized terminal, Arthur's Town Airport offers a straightforward arrival experience for visitors heading to Cat Island's quiet settlements, beaches and historic sites.
