Alberni Valley Regional Airport is a registered aerodrome serving Port Alberni and the surrounding Alberni Valley on Vancouver Island, British Columbia. It opened in September 1993 and operates as a general aviation gateway rather than a scheduled commercial airline hub.
Located at 7400 Airport Road, roughly 11 km northwest of central Port Alberni, the airport provides a single asphalt runway designated 12/30. The runway measures about 5,000 feet by 100 feet, and a major upgrade completed in 2021 included runway widening and extension, improved lighting, and a GPS approach system to support larger general aviation aircraft.
The airport features one compact terminal building with washrooms and waiting space, along with on-site fuel services. Passengers and pilots arriving here connect to Port Alberni and nearby destinations by taxi, pre-arranged pickup, private transfer, or rental car.
